Thompson Toronto's TIFF Inspired Cocktails

Thompson Toronto is celebrating TIFF with a new cocktail menu. All of the cocktails are inspired by the films premiering at this years festival From The Magnificent Seven to La La Land, all of these cocktails are the perfect accompaniment with this years festivities.

6ix Shooter Inspired by this years opening film The Magnificent Seven, 6ix Shooter is a take on a boilermaker the classic combination of a glass of beer and shot of bourbon. The drink is made of peach infused Bourbon, ale syrup, peach nectar, lemon and Peychaud's Bitters. It is the perfect balance of sweet, sour and bitter. The Magnificent Seven is a take on the classic 60's Western films, about seven gun-men coming together to save a poor village against thieves.

What the Cool Kids Are Drinking

Indeed what the cool kids are drinking, this drink is inspired by The Edge of Seventeen, a coming-of-age film about the life an awkward 17 year old. Served in the colloquial "red cup," this drink is  made with "Can You Grab Some Mix on Your Way?" syrup. The syrup is an elevated version of the college mixer - Tropical Lemon-Lime Gatorade and Red Bull, which boiled down and mix with Grey Goose, lemon juice and topped with mint leaves.

Ryan Gosling Won't Drink His Cocktail This cocktail is the perfect night cap, and great celebration drink. Named after Canadian heart throb Ryan Gosling, this drink was inspired by the romance of his latest film La La Land. The drink is definitely romantic made with raspberry rose syrup, and Bombay Gin, it is then topped off with Champagne. La La Land is about a jazz pianist who falls in love with a Hollywood actress.

These cocktails are available at Thompson Toronto during the festival which wraps up on the 18th.
